| TRASER
Local law enforcement and transportation agencies produce large volumes
of traffic-related crash, citation, and arrest information. These data
are critical when affecting decisions related to mass transit. TRASER
was one of the earliest systems to provide access to this valuable information.
What is TRASER?
TRASER (TRAffic SERvices Microcomputer System) is a DOS-based system
that allows an agency to store and retrieve traffic records information,
whether in large or small quantities. TRASER manages traffic crash, citation,
and traffic-related arrest records for analysis and reporting purposes
for a single jurisdiction or for multiple cities and counties.
TRASER has proved itself effective for city, county, and state level
enforcement departments; traffic engineering offices; and commercial fleet
applications. TRASER can quickly produce accurate, vital statistics on
crashes, citations, and traffic arrests, regardless of an agency's size.

Reporting
TRASER can produce numerous reports which are useful for all types of
traffic safety agencies in the form of lists, location cluster reports,
frequency tables, bar charts, histograms, and proxy reports. top
System Requirements
TRASER was written for microcomputers using the MS-DOS operating system.
Minimum computer requirements are as follows:
- 640K Random Access Memory
- 40-Megabyte hard disk storage device
- Color display (will support monochrome)
- Version 5.0 or later MS-DOS
- Printer capable of 132 characters per line

Support
TRASER software became available to public safety agencies beginning
in 1987. Many agencies continue to use it today. While TRASER is no longer
for sale, Data Nexus, Inc. continues to support those agencies.
