Dr. Robert Scopatz for President

Continuing their longstanding support of the National Safety Council's
efforts in promoting and improving traffic records systems, Data
Nexus, Inc. is proud to announce that Dr. Robert A. Scopatz has
been elected President of the Executive Board for the Association
of Transportation Safety Information Professionals (ATSIP).
The ATSIP, also known as the Traffic Records Committee, is a working
group of the National Safety Council Highway Traffic Safety Division.
The ATSIP exists to further the development and sharing of traffic
records system procedures, tools, and professionalism. As its new
President, Dr. Scopatz will be working towards achieving the organization's
objectives, which include: providing a forum on traffic records
systems for state and local traffic records systems managers; developing,
improving, and evaluating traffic records data systems in terms
of standards, policies, and applications; encouraging the use of
improved techniques and innovative procedures in the collection,
storage, and use of traffic records data; and serving as a forum
for the discussion of traffic records system programs of the National
Safety Council, Federal agencies, and other organizations for the
benefit of state, local, and international organizations.
Dr. Scopatz, Director of Research and Government Services, is the
third head of the Executive Board from Data Nexus, Inc. Larry C.
Holestine, Director of Public Services, headed the Executive Board
from 2002-2003, and Barbara Hilger DeLucia, President & CEO,
headed the Executive Board from 1994-1995.

tool for traffic safety professionals to share ideas, technologies,
