June 12, 2002
The National
Safety Council in cooperation with the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Federal
Highway Administration, Federal
Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and the Bureau
of Transportation Statistics will be holding the 28th
International Forum on Traffic Records and Highway Information Systems
in Orlando, Florida August 4-8, 2002. Data Nexus, Inc. staff members
have been participating in the forum since 1981.
This year Data Nexus will be attending as both an exhibitor and presenter.
Attendees will be able to see the latest technology developed at DNI being
demonstrated from our booth. Look forward to seeing the very latest in
mobile solutions like software designed for a Pocket PC and wearable computer.
Introduce yourself to our Polaris
System for Public Safety© Software in its client server version.
In addition to our products and services, we also encourage you to attend
a presentation given by our CEO, Barbara DeLucia, on e-learning. She will
be demonstrating course development that has been designed to support
certification of transportation safety information professionals. She
will also be representing the Transportation Research Board by giving
an update to the Forum of TRB committee activities.
Bob Scopatz, an Eastern Delegate of the Executive Board of the Association
of Transportation Safety Information Professionals, served this year as
the Assistant Program Chair in charge of site selection for this 2002
Forum. Dr. Scopatz worked closely with fellow committee members to make
this year's forum better than ever. In addition, Dr. Scopatz will present
the findings of the study Unlicensed to
Kill: The Sequel that Data Nexus recently completed for the AAA
Foundation for Traffic Safety.
Come join us in Orlando August 4-8 to hear about our research and to
see the latest in public safety software and mobile solutions for law
enforcement!
